Hirakata T-SITE

Three curtains for three windows (H8 x W8m) at Hirakata T-SITE, a bookstore with commercial complex near Osaka. The curtains move with remote con- troller to protect inside from late afternoon sun, and stored with spiral cur- tain track when not used. Three different layers of fabrics were used so that the curtains create depth in window side: Semi-transparent grey organza with silver print slightly refects light from outside on facade, beige plain weave fabric blocks the sunlight, semi-transparent yellow organza shows shadow casted from outer layers.
